The record marked a heavier direction for the band while still holding onto the speed and rawness that defined their earlier work. While the production was a cause of much debate over time from band and fan alike, it features key set heavyweights including "Orgasmatron," "Deaf Forever," and "Built for Speed," and has gone on to become one of the most respected releases in the Motörhead catalogue.

This 40th anniversary deluxe edition includes the original studio album remastered at half speed from the original tapes, a brand-new remix and remaster by longtime collaborator Cameron Webb, studio rehearsals and outtakes from 1985, and the complete BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show session from 1986. Liner notes by Neil Perry with rare photos and memorabilia.

Tracklist

CD 1 — 40th Anniversary Master + Outtakes & Rehearsals

Deaf Forever

Nothing Up My Sleeve

Ain't My Crime

Claw

Mean Machine

Built for Speed

Ridin' with the Driver

Doctor Rock

Orgasmatron

Orgasmatron & On the Road (Studio Rehearsal, 1985)

Nothing Up My Sleeve (Studio Outtake, 1985)

Doctor Rock & Ridin' with the Driver (Studio Rehearsal, 1985)

Claw (Alternate Version)

Mean Machine (Studio Outtake, 1985)

CD 2 — Cameron Webb 40th Anniversary Remix + BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show (1986)

Deaf Forever

Nothing Up My Sleeve

Ain't My Crime

Claw

Mean Machine

Built for Speed

Ridin' with the Driver

Doctor Rock

Orgasmatron

Killed by Death (BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show)

Orgasmatron (BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show)

Doctor Rock (BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show)

Deaf Forever (BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show)

Orgasmatron (Spoken Word) (BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show)
