Originally released in 1991 on Metal Blade Records, Butchered at Birth is Cannibal Corpse's second studio album and a landmark of early death metal — darker, slower, and more deliberately grotesque than their debut. Produced by Scott Burns at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, FL, the album features the band's classic lineup of Chris Barnes, Jack Owen, Bob Rusay, Alex Webster, and Paul Mazurkiewicz at their most primitive and punishing. This pressing is on red and black smoke vinyl.
