Originally released in 2004 on Metal Blade Records, The Wretched Spawn is Cannibal Corpse's ninth studio album and the second to feature vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher as the band's sole creative force behind the mic following the departure of Chris Barnes. Produced by Erik Rutan at Morrisound Recording, the album is widely regarded as one of the band's most technically precise and brutally consistent efforts.
