Joan Jett's debut studio album, originally released in 1980 on Blackheart Records — the album that launched one of rock's most defiant and enduring careers. Recorded after the Runaways' breakup, Bad Reputation was initially rejected by 23 major record labels before Jett and manager Kenny Laguna released it independently. Produced by Laguna and Ritchie Cordell, the album features originals alongside covers of "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)," "Wooly Bully," and "You Don't Own Me," laying the groundwork for the Blackhearts' massive commercial breakthrough on I Love Rock 'n' Roll. This 45th anniversary pressing is on black vinyl.
