Pixies' fourth and final studio album of their original run, originally released on September 23, 1991 on 4AD Records. Recorded at Sear Sound in New York City and WGBH Studios in Boston with producer Gil Norton, Trompe Le Monde is the band's heaviest and most sonically dense record — a barrage of fuzzed-out guitars, science fiction lyricism, and breakneck tempos that would prove enormously influential on the grunge and alternative rock movements of the 1990s. Kurt Cobain famously cited it as a primary influence on Nirvana. This new half-speed master pressed on 180g vinyl is part of the band's 40th anniversary celebrations.
