Formed in 1989, Side Over cut their teeth in the emerging Scranton/Wilkes-Barre scene that would become legendary — a melodic hardcore powerhouse contributing to the early '90s proto-emo scene alongside Turning Point and Life of Agony. Despite only releasing two cassette demos, their impact was lasting: their 1993 demo was released by John Dudeck via Very Distribution, who had Side Over on deck for the debut LP release of his new Edison Recordings label (Starkweather, Coalesce, Overcast) before the band disbanded in 1994.
Side Over reunited in 2025 following the sudden death of co-founder Neil Husvar, performing their first show in over 30 years at Hardcore for Husvar alongside honoring departed bandmates Brian Craig and Chris Pawloski. Loves You preserves the ethos of those original cassette demos, with "Scars" built from riffs on a 32-year-old practice tape — an homage to the band's history and departed brothers. Engineered, mixed, and mastered by Don Sternecker (Misfits, Luna, Rye Coalition). Limited edition blue colored vinyl.
