Sludgeworth's first new album in 35 years — the Chicago punk band who came of age alongside Naked Raygun, Steve Albini, and Ministry in the city's legendary 1980s underground scene return with twelve tracks of sharp hooks and driving melodic punk rock on Red Scare Industries. Formed in 1989 when drummer Brian McQuaid and vocalist Dan Schafer left Screeching Weasel, Sludgeworth were a cornerstone of the early Midwest pop-punk underground before going dormant in 1993. The reunion began with a sold-out show at Chicago's Cobra Lounge in 2023 and a Riot Fest appearance, leading to this long-overdue second full-length — the record they never got to make in 1992. Artwork by Miguel Echemendia.
