The Smashing Pumpkins' second studio album, originally released on July 27, 1993 on Virgin Records — produced by Butch Vig at Triclops Sound Studios in Atlanta and one of the defining alternative rock albums of the decade. Billy Corgan, James Iha, D'arcy Wretzky, and Jimmy Chamberlin delivered a massive, layered record of distorted guitars and melodic songwriting that spawned "Cherub Rock," "Today," "Disarm," and "Soma." This remastered edition is newly transferred from the original analog tapes.
