Television's debut studio album, originally released on February 8, 1977 on Elektra Records — widely considered one of the greatest albums ever recorded and a foundational text of post-punk and art rock. Recorded at A&R Recording Studios in New York City with producer Andy Johns, the album captures Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd's intertwining guitar lines at their most intricate and otherworldly, underpinned by Fred Smith's bass and Billy Ficca's jazz-inflected drumming. The seven-minute title track alone is one of rock's most celebrated moments. This Rhino Hi-Fi pressing is a retailer exclusive 180g audiophile vinyl edition, half-speed mastered at Abbey Road Studios.
