Veteran Ottawa, ON pop-punkers The Riptides continue to re-issue the essential albums from their back catalog with Canadian Graffiti returning to print in an all new vinyl pressing from Pirates Press Records.
After a successful collaboration with the label on their latest LP Burn After Listening as well as the re-issue of fan-favorite album Tales From Planet Earth, the time has come to bring 2017's Canadian Graffiti back for audiences old and new!
Across 18 tracks in under 30 minutes, this record is quintessential Riptides: punk rock inspired by the Ramones & 90s Lookout! Records, power-pop hooks, and wry storytelling — along with rapidfire references to everything from Doctor Who to Stanley Kubrick to Star Trek.
Recorded with legendary producer and long-time collaborator Mass Giorgini (Screeching Weasel, Alkaline Trio, Rise Against) at Sonic Iguana Studios, Canadian Graffiti features longtime core Riptides members Andy Vandal and Bob Goblin joined by Dan Lumley (Screeching Weasel, Common Rider, Squirtgun) on drums.
Canadian rock icon Bif Naked provides guest vocals on the pop-punk duet "Someone Just Like You," and "Goodbye Hawaii" has gone on to become a staple in live sets and a fan-favorite sing along.
Freshly re-mastered for this release by Giorgini, this is truly the quintessential version of this vital entry in The Riptides' discography.
